Economic Development
NCUS economic development division develops programs in urban communities to enhance those seeking to improve the economic well-being and quality of life for a community by creating and/or retaining jobs and supporting or growing incomes.
We provide economic partnerships for consultation in the following:
Capacity building: We engage communities by organizing the block watches, focus groups, town meeting, community patrol, faith base non-profits groups, reduce crime in communities.
Organizational Design: We provide organization design consulting to emerging or evolving economic development organization. We can facilitate leadership alignment and make recommendations for both short term and long term organization change.
Housing Developments: We have certified tax credits staff, worked with developers to enhance housing projects
Employment: Organized employment projects in the empowerment zone. Worked with local workforce offices to create workforce systems
Entreprenship: created and development over 75 small business totaling 20 million dollars
