High School Technology Teacher
Purpose: Purpose:
The High School Technology Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging and effective instruction in technology-related subjects such as Adobe, Microsoft, and IC3 Digital Literacy. The teacher will create a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering students' interest and proficiency in technology. The successful candidate will be flexible, outcome-driven, accountable, and solution-focused, demonstrating innovative technology skills.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement lesson plans, instructional materials, and assessments in alignment with curriculum standards and learning objectives.
Teach technology-related subjects, including Adobe, Microsoft applications, and IC3 Digital Literacy, using effective instructional strategies and resources.
Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student engagement, critical thinking, and collaboration.
Utilize innovative teaching methods and technology tools to enhance student learning experiences.
Assess and monitor student progress through various evaluation methods, such as quizzes, projects, and exams.
Provide timely and constructive feedback to students to support their growth and development.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate technology into cross-curricular projects and enhance the overall educational experience.
Promote digital literacy and responsible use of technology among students.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant data.
Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding students' progress, achievements, and areas for improvement.
Stay updated with the latest advancements in technology education and seek professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Adhere to school policies, procedures, and code of conduct.
Ensure the safety and security of students within the classroom and during technology-related activities.
Perform any other duties assigned by the school Director.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or a related field.
Valid teaching certification or licensure.
Proficiency in teaching Adobe, Microsoft applications, and IC3 Digital Literacy.
Strong knowledge of current educational technology tools and applications.
Experience in integrating technology into curriculum and instructional practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the diverse needs of students.
Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, parents/guardians, and school administration.
Accountability and commitment to student success.
Solution-focused mindset and ability to think critically and creatively.
Valid driver's license and insurance.
Ability to work weekends/late days (with prior notice).
