Engagement Coach
Engagement Coaches are responsible for improving the attendance and relationships of chronically absent and at-risk youth. Engagement Coaches will use case management and systems coordination to monitor caseload information.
Roles & Responsibilities
Major Function: Development and Management of Responsive Student Services
Engagement coaches will be responsible for maintaining contact with students daily ages up to 24 years old.
Engagement coaches will supervise peer-group tutors, assist with workshops, pre-orientation activities and help shape student learning and behavior.
Engagement coaches will help monitor student progress and will work with the classroom instructor on developing ways to engage students more fully in the learning process.
Engagement coaches work to improve student learning by providing local support to teachers to strengthen inclusive and instructional practices.
Conducts (outdoors) recruitment during the summer months.
Enters case notes daily into Franklin County’s database, ERIES, and AUS’ QuickBase system.
Collaborate with the families, community members and other institutional partners to significantly increase attendance, and significantly decrease disciplinary infractions.
