Mentoring Coordinator

Job Description:

The Mentorship Coordinator oversees the development & implementation of school-based youth mentoring program(s), which mentors with youth in a one-to-one relationship. The individual ensures program quality & performance related to recruiting, screening, matching, monitoring, supporting, and closing the relationship with the mentor and mentee, and communicates with the mentor, parent/guardian, and scholar throughout the relationship. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Mentorship Coordinator is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the mentoring program, and will carry out the responsibilities of the position as defined but not limited to below:

Roles and Responsibilities:

•           Implement & manage mentor programs specifically with our AUS Scholars & community constituents.

•           Organize & execute workshops or luncheons that allow mentors/mentees to be engaged & interact with skills development activities.

•           Develop & implement relationship building activities and development skills.

•           Assess if programs are meeting goals, objectives, and KPIs.

•           Analysis of assessment & programmatic tools to make appropriate adjustment to program components for best outcomes & KPI success.

•           Develop strategies to improve effectiveness in training, workshops, relationships, SEL goals, & program completion success.

•           Strong Computer Skills with CRM experience

•           Problem Solving Skills

•           Budget Management

•           Grant Understanding, Writing, Evaluation, Reporting

•           Strong Interpersonal & Communication Skills

•           Team Management

•           Recruitment & Fundraising Experience

•           Trauma Informed Care Experience

•           Mentoring experience for minimum of 2 years

•           Experience working in racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse urban communities preferred.
